What better way to mark the culmination of a world tour celebrating The Tallis Scholars’ 40th anniversary than with this concert back in London. Victoria’s glorious Missa Gaudeamus was written for All Saints Day, traditionally one of the most extrovert feasts in the calendar. Bruckner’s Ave Maria adds an extra and perhaps unexpected dimension to settings of this text, surely one of the most popular of all time.
