The Festival 'Canaletto' Boat Trip

The Festival Boat Trip goes from Westminster Bridge to
the Royal Naval Hospital at Greenwich, a masterpiece of
Baroque architecture captured in oils by Canaletto during
his visit. With a lively commentary by an expert Blue
Badge Guide, the round-trip will include complimentary refreshments on the return journey and a 10-minute
leg-stretch at Greenwich.

The boat trip leaves punctually from Westminster Pier,
Victoria Embankment SW1A 2JH and will last
approximately 2 hours.

Festival Walk - Whitehall Palace

The Festival Walk, led by an expert Blue Badge Guide, explores the Palace site and the many buildings that

Following its inauguration by Sir Nicholas Kenyon in 2009, the Festival's keynote speech is given this year by Robert Hollingworth, director of vocal group I Fagiolini.

Here he discusses his passion for Monteverdi, examining
other modern attitudes to his music and recent developments
in performing style.
