The atmospheric, brick-vaulted restaurant in the crypt of St. John’s
provides a wonderful environment to enjoy a meal or glass of wine before
or after the concert. Offering pre and
post concert suppers, the Restaurant is open weekday lunchtimes and
on concert evenings only from 5.30pm on weekdays and from an hour
and a half before the start of a concert on Saturday, Sunday or public
holidays.
Interval
As a result of our recent refurbishment we now have two
bars from
which to serve interval drinks and a selection of nibbles. Pre-ordering
of drinks before the start of the concert
is strongly advised. On the
busy nights we also provide a
separate wine station with light snacks.
Weekday Lunchtimes
On weekdays, the restaurant at St. John’s is open for lunch from
11.30am to 3pm. The menu is created using predominantly British produce
and seasonal ingredients and changes according to the availability from
our network of suppliers. For those with less time to linger over lunch,
we offer a light buffet with dishes of the day, sandwiches and a
selection of salads which allow you to make the most of your visit.
