Schubert’s ‘Winter’s Journey’, settings of poems by Müller, is a series of songs with profound and passionate intensity: a pinnacle of the song repertoire which has fascinated performers and audiences ever since it was first heard back in 1827. For this performance Roderick Williams and Keval Shah are also joined by the baritone Peter Brathwaite. The performance will be presented ‘in the round’, ensuring that all those attending are drawn to the emotional heart of this compelling musical and poetic journey.
