Missa Solemnis

Beethoven's second setting of the mass - his Missa solemnis in D major, Op. 123, was composed between 1819 and 1823. It is generally considered one of the composer's supreme achievements and, along with Bach's Mass in B minor, one of the most significant Mass settings. The Royal Orchestral Society, Britain's oldest amateur orchestra and about to celebrate its 150th anniversary, is performing it with 4 outstanding soloists, under the experienced direction of Adrian Brown
