In 2022-23 the Royal Orchestral Society celebrates its 150th Anniversary Season, its first concert having taken place at the Royal Albert Hall in January 1873.

During its long history the orchestra has been joined by many leading artists - soloists, choirs and conductors.  Each of the four concerts in the Anniversary Season recalls early repertoires, composers, artists and conductors, as well as celebrates its more recent achievements and collaborations.

This concert welcomes back a past conductor, Tim Redmond, a wonderful friend in soprano, Janice Watson, a throwback to the typical 'double overture' style of programme of ROS's earliest days, and a Dvořák symphony one of the first performances of which ROS gave back in the 1880s.  And some good cheer to finish with!
