This festive season, join the musicians of Southbank Sinfonia for a unique musical experience – visiting the musical zoo! You’ll have the chance to meet lots of different families of instruments and have a go at playing some of them too. You’re also welcome to bring your own instrument and play along with the musicians from the orchestra in our big musical celebration. Don’t miss out!

This workshop is ideal for children aged 5–11 years, but parents and grandparents can have just as much fun too. All instruments and all ability levels are welcome at the Musical Zoo (from Beginner Bassoonists to Pro Percussionists, and everything in between!). If you don’t play an instrument or don’t have your own, no problem, there will be plenty of percussion instruments available for you to borrow, and the wonderful Southbank musicians on hand to show you how to use it!
