Since 1714, St John’s Smith Square has stood at the heart of its community. Once a local church, it now resounds in music-making since it was reborn as a concert hall in 1969.

For 50 years, it has produced world-renowned classical and contemporary classical festivals, staged some of the most outstanding, leading UK and international talent, and welcomed community music’s finest (and youngest) ensembles to perform in the fine acoustic of the UK’s only baroque concert hall.

Every contribution, large or small, will help St John’s Smith Square to continue to build on 300 years of history. Whether you are passionate about supporting a treasured Grade I listed landmark to flourish in its Westminster setting or you wish to support some of the most outstanding musical talent to perform, your legacy can make a huge difference to our work and our community for generations to come.

• An excellent quality artistic programme, encompassing a range of classical music festivals—from the baroque to contemporary classical styles
• Young artist training and development opportunities, supporting exceptional talent at cusp of great careers in the industry
• Education and community projects eg, a series of school concerts, workshops and Come & Sing events
• The maintenance and care of a Grade I listed former church for community use

Benefits to you

Leaving a part or your entire estate to charity can reduce, and in some situations, eliminate the Inheritance Tax liability.

You can also cut the Inheritance Tax rate on the rest of your estate from 40% to 36%, if you leave at least 10% of your ‘net estate’ to a charity.
