Volunteering
Join our dedicated Front of House volunteer team and support our wonderful Grade I listed venue. If you love music, meeting new people and can spare a few hours each week, we would love to hear from you.
Volunteers help with the smooth-running of our concerts. This may include checking tickets, guiding audience members around the building and selling concert programmes.
All our volunteers will have the opportunity to watch a variety of concerts and events free of charge and will also get to enjoy a free hot drink from our Footstool Café and Bar whilst on duty plus a 20% staff discount in the café at all other times.
In April 2021, St John’s Smith Square and the Southbank Sinfonia orchestra merged and are now one organisation. The venue hosts public and private concerts, recordings and rehearsals, wedding receptions and corporate events. The venue is the home of Southbank Sinfonia who perform at St John’s Smith Square and across the UK and Europe.

Welcome Desk and Sales Assistant
We are looking to recruit a friendly and motivated Welcome Desk and Sales Assistant to join our Front of House team. This is a crucial role within the organisation, helping to ensure every visitor to our venue in the heart of Westminster receives a warm, confident, and helpful welcome. This is a casual role with flexible hours and offers a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience working in a dynamic and ambitious arts environment.
