We are delighted to present a thrilling programme of events for our Autumn 2023 Season. Join us as orchestral, choral, jazz, chamber music, and more, fill St John’s Smith Square!

Our Thursday Lunchtime Concert series continues to showcase the exceptional talent of internationally renowned musicians alongside those of emerging artists. From organ recitals to string quartet performances, piano trios to wind octets, we have a captivating line-up of concerts.

The Foostool Café (located in the crypt) sells hot and cold food in addition to drinks, and our Crypt Classics series provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy coffee and cake alongside a free performance by musicians from the Royal College of Music. Our Jazz in the Crypt late night events sees this space transformed into an intimate and enchanting setting for an unforgettable evening of live music.

This November, St John’s Smith Square becomes a planetarium as Southbank Sinfonia present a #ConcertLab themed around the night sky. Experience a sonic journey into the cosmos: lie down amongst the orchestra and enjoy ceiling projections of the universe whilst listening to live music themed around astronomy!

Our sublime Christmas Festival returns in December, featuring guest artists including Polyphony and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. We are also delighted to work with Carrot Productions for our upcoming performances of The Snowman, featuring a film screening with live orchestral soundtrack.

We look forward to welcoming you to St John’s Smith Square soon. Visit our What’s On page for a full list of upcoming events.
