We are delighted to announce our upcoming Crypt Classics series. Relax with us in our café and enjoy an ambience provided by musicians from the top conservatoires in the UK.

Our Crypt Classics series showcases phenomenal young performers from London’s conservatoires for a unique and intimate concert experience in St John’s Smith Square’s crypt. The series is a chance to take in the historic venue’s atmosphere with musical accompaniment from the next generation of musicians, all while taking a break with a coffee (or some of our delicious cake).

Throughout May we will welcome emerging artists and ensembles to provide a charming musical background to our crypt café. In our first concert of this series, we will host an ensemble from the Royal College of Music performing a short Baroque programme featuring lute songs and galliards by Dowland and other Baroque masters.

These informal concerts are free to attend and take place on selected weekday mornings in our crypt so keep an eye on our website for more dates and times for upcoming Crypt Classics. Coffee, cake and free music – what's not to like? All you need to do is come to our café, sit back and relax.
