Southbank Sinfonia at St John’s Smith Square want to make a real difference to those affected by loneliness, be that through age, mental health issues or bereavement. Consequently, we are delighted to announce the start of a new initiative, ‘Concert Chums’

How does it work?

When you attend our concerts, volunteers will be on hand to guide you to the facilities, chat about the music and musicians and most importantly create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for everyone. There will be a dedicated area in the restaurant for you to take a drink and meet others pre-concert, during the interval and post-concert.

If you struggle with attending concerts and events alone, are looking for a new community to join or simply fancy a chat we can’t wait to meet you and welcome you into the family!

When will it be on offer?

Our first concert with Concert Chums present will be our upcoming performance of Venus and Adonis presented by Early Opera Company and featuring the wonderful Anna Dennis as Venus, Jonathan McGovern as Adonis and Miriam Allan as Cupid. This will be taking place on the 2nd April at 7:30pm.
