We are delighted to announce our upcoming autumn season programme here at St John’s Smith Square. This autumn we will host a variety of concerts featuring some of the finest classical musicians in the UK, encompassing a wide range of classical repertoire from Baroque masterworks to world premieres. This season will also feature the new orchestral fellows of Southbank Sinfonia as well as a concert celebrating the orchestra’s 20th birthday with a wonderful newly commissioned work by Roxanna Panufnik.

In addition to individual concerts, the programme also features two festivals: the Belle Époque Festival in November and our 37th Christmas Festival to round off 2022. The Belle Époque festival will take place in late November and explore the musical culture of France at the end of the 19th century through a series of vocal and orchestral concerts, a masterclass and a talk.

As the year draws to a close, you can enjoy the festive season with our 37th Christmas Festival, beginning in early December. During the festival there will be performances of seasonal oratorios composed by Handel and Bach, choral concerts featuring carol by candlelight carols, and jazz acts to get your Christmas swinging.

Over the autumn season St John’s Smith Square is buzzing with exquisite musical activity and we can’t wait to share it with you. Visit our ‘What’s On’ page to view the full programme and for more detail on upcoming concerts.
