I Was Glad

In the heart of their 2024 Season, Vox Anima London is delighted to be bringing A Festival of Church Music to such an iconic venue - St John's Smith Square. It feels appropriate that this magnificent concert hall, which was originally built as one of the so-called "Fifty New Churches", designed by Thomas Archer in the early eighteenth century and tucked in the warm embrace of its neighbours in Westminster, is the venue of tonight's concert. Church Music that is so cherished by thousands of people throughout the world and nestled in so many hearts, can be enjoyed in a full concert setting. Master church composer of the twentieth century, Hubert C. Parry, sits happily on the programme next to today's celebrated composers -  K. Lee Scott, Heather Sorenson and Sarah MacDonald.
